Discuss and describe the stories of a place you selected. Say what the story is about. Pick a country where they told stories or it is a tradition, find out the structure, obtain a story from that country.

There are cultural, emotional and language benefits that come from stories for children, but what do you think children gain from stories?? What emotional benefits, what cultural benefits and what language benefits? Stories can explain difficult concepts to children, they can comfort them when they are upset and they can teach the new words and how to use them, but what do you think? Sorry for the large scope of the question, but any opinion or help is welcomed.

Invention stories with a moral to them?

I’m trying to think of some classic invention stories to teach to my elementary school students. I am looking for some stories that have a moral to them. For example, Thomas Eddison invented the light bulb after trying thousands of filaments. The moral of the story is usually, keep trying. Any body know of any classic invention stories that have some sort of moral to them?
