What are the values of stories for children?

There are cultural, emotional and language benefits that come from stories for children, but what do you think children gain from stories?? What emotional benefits, what cultural benefits and what language benefits? Stories can explain difficult concepts to children, they can comfort them when they are upset and they can teach the new words and how to use them, but what do you think? Sorry for the large scope of the question, but any opinion or help is welcomed.

    If your child loves books, they love stories. The emotional engagement shown by a child shown his or her future behavior. They gain knowledge, patience, perseverance and acceptance thru engagement by stories.

    The effect of this, thru studies, found that children who like stories grow mature much faster than their peers. You are lucky if your child happen to love stories – and books.
